Bridgetown celebrated Canada Day in style with a ton of events throughout the day at Jubilee Park and the swimming pool. A Lions breakfast in the morning was a roaring success and rain in the early evening didn’t stop organizers from going ahead with official ceremonies and fireworks. Chamber of Commerce president Dan Forbes brought greetings, as did Annapolis County Warden Peter Newton. Bridgetown Mayor Art Marshall welcomed the crowd and four candidates for the town’s Youth Ambassador program. Current Youth Ambassador Nancy Ward spoke about her term in office. The four candidates introduced themselves as they began the summer-long journey towards selection of new Youth Ambassador during Ciderfest.
