On Saturday Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Beulah Burman PET Projects team will be hosting their first PET Adoption Fair at the Shelburne Community Center during the Christmas Craft Sale event. “Our volunteer animal rescue group will present our pets we have up for adoption to the public. All pets are kept in foster care as the shelter is closed. If you are looking for that special furry someone, check us out in the room next to the craft sale,” said Shelly Hipson, Beulah Burman PET Project member. “There’s sometimes a misconception that if “Candy” was abandoned, there must be a problem. I reassure you, these are beautiful animals.”

This rescue group has placed over 200 homeless animals into new homes in the past two years.

Potential adopters attending the “Purrfect Match” event will be able to meet and greet with rescued pets. All cats for adoption will be $20, which includes a spay/neuter. “It’s a great deal,” said Hipson.
