Walk-in Clinics

December 18 Free walk-in clinics 2 to 4 p.m. every Thursday at Hutchin’s Pharmasave, Annapolis Royal. Blood pressure, glucose or cholesterol checked.

Farmer’s market

December 19 Middleton Farmers' Market’s last market of the season from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the Baptist Church Hall, Middleton. Gift basket giveaways with local farm products and crafts donated by our vendors. Thanks for everyone's support in our first successful season.

Parent’s Night Out

December 19 The Middleton Baptist Church is giving an opportunity for moms and dads to get some shopping done or to just for a night out, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Drop your children off. We'll feed them supper and keep them busy – for children infant to grade 6. See middletonbaptist.com for more details.

Living Nativity Pageant

December 21 A Nativity Pageant with livestock and music will be held in Agri-alley at the Annapolis Valley Exhibition grounds December 21 at 6:30 p.m. Narration by Phil Milo. All welcome. Freewill offering.

Christmas caroling

December 21 Join us in caroling throughout the Village of Granville Ferry, departure from the United Baptist Church at 6:30 pm. Refreshments upon return. All welcome.

Cantata

December 21 St. George and St. Andrew United Church, Annapolis Royal, presents their Christmas Cantata “ Season of Praise” under the direction of organist Deirdre Morrell-Ormerod starting at 3:00 pm. Everyone welcome.

Kristingle Service

December 21 Kristigle Service will be held Sunday, Dec. 21. At 4 p.m. Anglican Parish of Bridgetown. This is a simple service of candlelight and song for all children. Refreshments afterwards in the hall. Everyone welcome.

Christmas concert

December 21 Sunday School Christmas Concert at 7 p.m. in the Pentecostal Full Gospel Tabernacle, Lequille. A friendly welcome to all.

Christmas cantata

December 21 At the Middleton Baptist Church at 10:45 a.m. Entitled "Then Jesus Came", features special Christmas choral pieces from our choir interlaced with drama to communicate the Christmas message in a powerful and memorable way.

Nativity movie

December 21 The film follows the life of Mary and Joseph up to the birth of Jesus. It is a wonderful re-telling of the Christmas story and the Middleton Baptist Church invites you to come at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided afterward.

Blue Christmas Service

December 22 A Blue Christmas service will be held at the Anglican Parish of Bridgetown Monday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. A reflective Eucharist, traditional readings and hymns listened to in candlelight for those who would like a quieter Christmas this year.

Luncheon

December 23 At the Anglican Church Hall, Middleton, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for lobster chowder ($7), corn chowder ($6) or turkey vegetable soup ($6), plus dessert. Sponsored by the Holy Trinity Anglican Church. For deliveries in town, call 825-4758 before 9 a.m., or 825-2326 after 9 a.m. on the 23rd.

Christmas Breakfast

December 24 The Kingston Lions will hold their annual Christmas Breakfast at the Lions Hall on the December 24 from 6:30 to 11 a.m. Menu: scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, hash browns, pancakes, toast, juice, coffee, tea. Cost: Free will offering. There will also be music and a visit from Santa.

Christmas Bird Count

December 27 Annapolis Field Naturalists will hold the annual Christmas Bird Count on Saturday, Dec. 29. Both field observers and bird feeder watchers are needed to make this a success. To register or for further information call Gini Proulx at 638-8353.

New Year’s Eve Gala

Kingston New Year’s

December 31 The Village of Kingston is hosting a New Year's Eve Community Celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 31 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Western Kings Arena. Family skating, face painting, wagon rides, cotton candy, balloons animals, and live entertainment are provided. Hot chocolate, cider, and hot dogs are also being served. Fireworks will follow at 9:30 p.m. at the Super Store parking lot. Guests are asked to consider making a donation to our Food Bank.

Library Tech Series
