Berwick United Church will present a Memorial Chorale evening of music November 16 at 7 p.m.

Special music sung by a 40 voice choir combined with various instruments will include such music as Bach’s Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring and Beethoven’s music with the words, Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee. The latter will be accompanied by bells and include a trumpet descant. St. Mary’s Vocal Quartet will sing Mozart’s Ave Verum and God of the Living. Curtis Dietz, a trumpeter with the N.S. Symphony, will play Panis Angelicus with Gina Patterson on piano. Gina, a professional horn player along with Curtis on trumpet, will play with the choir for several numbers. Besides choir and audience hymns, there will be solos and a duet.

Members of the audience have donated for a certain hymn to be sung in memory of loved ones and others attending will be asked for a freewill offering. There will be many old favourites, such as How Great Thou Art and Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah.

Come and enjoy a very special musical evening.
