Mary Marguerite Bohaker – 92, of Annapolis Royal, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006 in the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born in Saulnierville, Digby County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Harriett (Melanson) Amirault. She had been employed in Annapolis Royal during her younger years. She then became a homemaker, devoted to her family. She was a member of St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Annapolis Royal and a former member of the Catholic Women’s League. She was also a former member of the New Horizons Seniors Club. She is survived by a son, Ronald (Constance), Annapolis Royal; a daughter, Kathleen (Jack) Nootenboom, Ottawa; two sisters, Sister Irene Amirault, Moncton; Annie Belliveau, Meteghan; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, J. Smith Bohaker; an infant sister, Janet; seven brothers, George, Leo, Leonard, John, Edward, Wilfred and Albert. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. There will be no visitation by family request. A funeral mass was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007 in St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Annapolis Royal, Father Tom McQuade officiated. Burial took place in the Anglican Church Cemetery, Karsdale. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Catholic Women’s League or the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. A special thank-you to the nurses and doctors at the Valley Regional Hospital, the Annapolis Community Health Centre and the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home.
