Bursary chance

All month Attention all graduating grade 12 students at West Kings High School, Middleton High School and Ecole Rose-des-Vents School - Knights of Columbus is offering a Scholarship and a Bursary. Contact high school Guidance Counselor or Kent Sill at 765-2734.

Museum exhibit

All month All in a Day’s Work: Valley Vocations exhibit, at Macdonald Museum in Middleton. The exhibits features occupations past and present in the Valley. Regular museum admission charged. Call the museum at 825-6116 for more information.

Heritage society meeting

April 19 The Annapolis Heritage Society's spring meeting will be held at St Luke's Church Hall in Annapolis Royal on April 19 at 7:30 p.m. Guest speakers are from Shelburne and will be discussing that community's events to commemorate the 225th anniversary of the arrival of the Loyalists in 2008. North Kingston Cemetery

April 19 The annual meeting of the North Kingston Public Cemetery will be held April 19 at 7 p.m. in the Kingston fire hall. Everyone welcome.

April 19 Hutchins Pharmasave in Annapolis Royal will hold a blood glucose and blood pressure clinic from 2 to 4 p.m. April 19.

Seniors Games Bowling

Annaul potluck

April 21 Annual Potluck Fundraiser at the Port Lorne Hall, runs for 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Proceeds go towards the Canada Day Celebration.

Princess tea

Maplefest

April 21 Maplefest will be held Saturday, April 21 at Milford and Area Community Hall in South Milford. Two sittings: 12 to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Menu includes fluffy pancakes with local pure maple syrup, home baked beans, potato salad, old fashioned baked ham, homemade rolls, canned pickles, assorted homemade cream pies and beverages. Takeouts available upon request. Bake table and Pantry sale. Proceeds for the Milford Hall.

Birds Musical

May 12 The Gathering of the Birds Musical featuring the Kings Chorale Children's Chorus and the Studio-to-Stage Dance Academy, will be performed at Kings Theatre, Annapolis Royal, at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10, $5 for students. Contact Kings Theatre for tickets in advance (532-7704), or purchase at the door.

Turkey Supper

May 13 Mother's Day Turkey Supper from 4:30 to 6:00 at the Holy Trinity Church Hall, Middleton. Turkey with all the fixings, strawberry shortcake or gingerbread. Adults $12; 12 & under $6. Takeout available by calling 825-4758 prior to 2:00 on the 13th. Sponsored by the Parish Men's Club.
