Past relevant experience: Raised in a CCF/NDP family. Family hosted both (national NDP leaders) Tommy Douglas and David Lewis. Scrutineer for CCF and twice for NDP in Kings West.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
“My dad was an amazing man. He got me started in social democratic principles. He always pushed me to get an education. I came from a working-class family, and I was taught that getting an education was the route to a better life.”
Who is your biggest influence?
“My father, Leo Landry – he was influenced by his captain on a corvette in World War II. The captain was from Saskatchewan, which had just elected a CCF government.”

What are you passionate about?
“Life. I’m high on life. I feel I’ve been very, very fortunate. I came from a great family, and I have a great wife and kids.”
If you could offer one piece of advice to teens today, what would it be?
“Get active in your community. Meet the seniors in your community. They have amazing stories to tell. Doing that will hopefully lead them to volunteering and aiding their community.”
Why are you running?
“I want to represent the NDP philosophy, and I want people to know there’s another choice.”
What do you think is the single most important issue in your riding?
“The poverty that exists in our riding, which seems to be closely connected to alcohol and drugs and which leads to dysfunctional people and dysfunctional families.”
Why should people vote for you?
“I represent another point of view and kind of thought. If people feel philosophically aligned to what I have to say, they should consider voting for me.”
