Liberal leader Stephen McNeil sported quiet confidence after an enthusiastic welcome at Yarmouth Liberal candidate Zach Churchill's campaign headquarters in downtown Yarmouth on Saturday. His charter bus was met with a crowd of sign-waving supporters spilling out onto the sidewalk at the corner of John and Main streets.
He extended congratulations to "the people of Yarmouth" for not giving up on re-establishing a ferry service to Maine and said that everywhere across the province people share his belief that the "province's" ferry should be docking in Yarmouth.
Referring to recent polls that show the Liberals are pulling into the lead in this election, he told the crowd, although victory feels within grasp, not to stop pushing for every vote.
Cheers erupted when it was reported that the constituency of Yarmouth enjoyed the highest ratio of Liberal election signs distributed of any constituency in the province.
