The Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia (BIANS) Valley Chapter held its second annual bowl-a-thon at Fairlanes, New Minas, Oct. 25. BIANS Valley chapter president Jake MacDonald said there nine teams took part and the goal was to raise $3,000. The five teams from the Kentville Police Service taking part raised a whopping $1,988. Among the members of Kentville’s finest were Constable Kevin Andrews (left), Chief Mark Mander, Constable Rob Mulloy, administrative assistant Louise Dean, Auxiliary Constable Harlon Wood, Evan Mander, backchecker Chrissy Comeau (seated, left) and Sergeant Bruce Weir (seated, right). MacDonald said they’re hoping that as many as 20 teams will participate next year.
