The Rotary Club of Wolfville hosted a unique Celebrity Chefs gala fundraiser at Acadia University’s Learning Commons in Wolfville on Saturday evening, Feb. 24. Chef Michael Howell of The Tempest Restaurant organized the culinary aspect of the event, recruiting six other celebrity chefs for the initiative. He prepared Seared Artic Char on Tancook Sauerkraut and Cider Stewed Napa Cabbage with Purple Potato Nuggets and Lemon Chive Vin Blanc for the occasion. The fundraiser featured eight wineries and three bands as well. Proceeds will go toward the club’s student achievement awards, presented each spring to local high school graduates.
