Succession Planning succeeds
Succession Planning was top of the agenda at a recent Succession Planning Panel held in Kentville Nov. 30, 2007.
The session was the first of its kind held in Kings County and was aimed to give local businesses valuable information and direction when deciding what to do next with their business. The session was held because succession planning had been highlighted as an issue from the recent Business Retention and Expansion Pilot project conducted by the Kings CED Agency.
Panel members included Paul Richards, Acadia Centre for Social and Business Entrepreneurship; Peter Hough, Canadian Workers Cooperative Federation; Brian Glavin, RBC; Peter Muttart, Muttart, Tufts, DeWolfe and Coyle; and Gordon Caldwell, Grant Thornton. The Succession Planning Panel was well attended, and another discussion may be organized in the near future.
For more information about the succession planning panel, contact Helen Abel, Business Counselor for ACSBE by phone at 678-0828 or via e-mail at helen.abel@acadiau.ca.
