Meeting

Jan. 8

The monthly meeting of the West Pubnico Acadian Historical Society will be held

Thurday Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. at the Musée acadien in the annex room - Salle

Blanche d'Entremont.

Guest speaker Laurent d'Entremont will

present 20 historical photos from his collection and will tell the story

behind the pictures.

Membership fees to the society are due, $10. Info call the museum at 902-762-3380.

ELF program

Jan. 9

The ELF (Everbody Loves Friday) program will take place at the Brazil Lake Wesleyan Church on Friday, Jan. 9, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for children ages 4-12. Snacks, games and crafts. Parents invited to register for stamp it up scrapbook sessions (902-742-1613).

The Yarmouth Garden Club’s annual meeting will be held Saturday, Jan.10,

1 to 3 p.m. at Burridge Campus

Photos must be submitted on this date

for club photo contest. New members welcome.

Quilt seminar

Silent auction

Jan. 30

A silent auction will be held at the Yarmouth hospital on Friday, Jan. 30, in the lobby from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Funds raised go to South West Health funds for cancer patients.

Bridge

Hall of fame hours change

The Sports Hall of Fame, 435 Main St., is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 1-4 p.m. Group visits can be arranged by calling Gloria Goodwin at 902-742-5405.

Veterans Association
