The Royal Heraldry Society of Canada has elected David M. Cvet of Smith’s Cove and Toronto as its 23rd president.

Toronto

Cvet, a retired information technologist in the Toronto area, has been a member of the society for several years, doing much to revamp its website.

Over the past 30 years, the society has worked to encourage the interest and practice of heraldry amongst Canadians.

Cvet, who began a course here this summer in sword fighting, said his main aim for the society is recruitment and retention of younger members.
