On Tuesday, July 15, there will be a genealogy day in West Pubnico to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the research center, Les archives père Clarence d’Entremont. At 10 a.m. the opening ceremony will take place at the New Horizon room, West Pubnico

Invited guests are Senator Gérald Comeau, Robert Thibault, MLA Chris d’Entremont, Gérald Boudreau, Alderic d’Entremont, Mgr. Gerald LeBlanc and Father Maurice LeBlanc

There will be an unveiling of a plaque -in honour of père Clarence d'Entremont

Afternoon and evening conferences will take place with a cost of $10 for the conferences. This is the schedule:

1 p.m.-Roland Surette - author - Metis /Acadian heritage 1604 to 2004

2:30 p.m. –Coral, Pauline d'Entremont and Christina Crowell

Information on the book to be published by the Society (the five generations of the descendants of Jacques II d’Entremont(1679-1759) & Marguerite Amirault (1704-1796)

At 3:30 p.m. there will be a reading by Joanne Jefferson from her first novel -Lightning & Blackberries Jefferson was born and raised in Halifax and now makes her home in West LaHave. Her poetry, short fiction, and non-fiction writing appear in a variety of Canadian publications.

At 7 p.m. there will be a c-onference by Joanne Jefferson entitled: Finding inspiration in Acadian Family History
