Born in Liverpool's McNeill's Cottage Hospital over a half century ago to Elizabeth and Eric Millard, with Doctor John Wickwire in attendance, Marg Millard has carved out a career in the Arts.

Her early education was obtained at the Edgehill School for Girls, and high school years were put in at the Nova Scotia Land Survey School in Lawrencetown, where she studied cartographic drafting.

For many years Marg has been involved with many artistic endeavors including; producing graphics for publications, a variety of needlework, quilting, gardening, and even some woodworking.

Marg admits that "painting is her major passion", she finds a deep satisfaction in her Pysanky, more commonly known as " Ukrainian Easter Eggs"- This ancient art form becomes a manner of meditation, at times. She also gets much pleasure in teaching others this technique.

This talented artist lives quietly in the seaside community of White Point, with her husband Steve, and her cats, squirrels, and other small animals As a painter, inspiration comes from her surroundings - Mainly, the changing seasons, birds at her feeders, walking, or driving along a logging road, or strolling along any beach, provides her with the material and inspiration for her acrylic painting, which may be found in private collections in the Toronto and Ottawa areas of Ontario.

This talented young woman's paintings are currently for sale In the Coastal Queens Gallery in Port Mouton and the Woodpile Café, Liverpool.

Marg Millard's talents are endless. She makes canvas floor coverings, quilts, and builds easels. She also is a gardener of note, and grows orchids.

Marg offers Introduction sessions to Pysanky at very reasonable rates. She has also been known to travel for a group session.
