July 20 to July 26, 2008 continued

 - Paul William Lloyd - was born in Berwick, NS in 1929. Paul passed away quietly at the Oromocto Public Hospital with his family by his side at the age of 78. He spent twelve years in the Canadian Armed Forces serving his country until he was medically discharged. He then worked as a foreman at UNB and also at Base Gagetown. He was then self-employed until he was not able to work any longer. He was a member of the Legion Branch #93 in Oromocto for 23 years. He was a very caring husband and father and was liked by all who knew him. Surviving Paul is his wife, Evelyn (Smith) Lloyd; children, Brenda (Carl) Hilchey, Michael (Kathy) Lloyd, Derek Lloyd, Kevin Lloyd, Carolyn (Steven) White, Christine (Michael) Henry, Theodore (Kelly) Mahar; 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, whom he loved very much; sister, Joyce (Hayden) Tremere and brother, Hugh Lloyd. Paul is predeceased by his parents, Hugh and Christine (Lee) Lloyd as well as several aunts and uncles. There was no service by request. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Geary, French Lake, Waterville Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NB Lung Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home. (357-5100)  www.oromoctofh .com
