July 6 to July 12, 2008 continued

 - Edith Jenny Elizabeth Head, 97, of Barton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 9, 2008, in Digby General Hospital. Born in Denmark, she was a daughter of the late Waldemar and Hanseena (Beena) Neilson. 
Edith is survived by her loving sons, Ronald (Evangeline) Head, Barton; John Head, and Wally (Evelyn) Head; as well as grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister, Marion Kennedy, British Columbia; and daughter-in-law, Sharon. Edith had a strong relationship with the Lord, and she will be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved her. 
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Douglas Head; son, Gerald; sisters, Goodrun Suter, Valerie Pashley, Peggy Joans; and brothers, Sonny Neilson, and Eric Neilson. 
Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service was held in North Range United Baptist Church, Barton, on July 14, 2008, with Pastor Chuck Daniels officiating. 
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Funeral Home and Crematorium, Box 239, Port Williams, B0P 1T0. Donations or cards and letters of sympathy may be sent to this address or on-line at www.serenityfuneral.com .
