September 2, 2007 to September 8, 2007 continued

 - E. Ray Burgoyne - passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 4, 2007, at his home in Aaldersville, near New Ross, where he was born on January 25, 1921. He was a son of the late Edgar Norwood and Florence (Hiltz) Burgoyne. Surviving are a son, Terrence, Toronto, Ont.; daughters, Dawn, Aaldersville; Heather, Canberra, Australia; grandchildren, Dylan, Emily & Molly;  sisters, Eva (Aldon) Durling; Helen (Floyd) Smith; Edith (the late Alvin) Russell; Mary Walsh.  Besides his parents, he was  predeceased by his wife, Cynthia in 1987; brother, Clifton (Evelyn). Ray was a life member & past master of Norwood Lodge # 135, A.F. & A.M.,  New Ross and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 79, New Ross. He was a retired farmer and employee of the New Ross Consolidated School for 26 years. There was a Masonic Service  followed by visitation Friday night and Funeral Service 10 a.m. Saturday September 8, all in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville, N.S., B4N 2K5, (902-678-2151). Rev. Leonard Bednar officiated.   Burial was in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting:  www.hclindsayfuneralhome.ca
