The organizer of a fundraiser in support of a former Yarmouth County resident and father of six who is battling cancer says ticket sales are going well and nearing sellouts, but there is still opportunity to purchase tickets, says Melanie Mansfield.
The fundraiser is being held in support of Daniel d’Entremont, a former resident of West Pubnico, who now lives with his family in Alberta. Earlier this year d’Entremont was diagnosed with cancer, which started in his lung and has spread to lymph nodes, his vertebrae, his right rib, left hip and he has spots on his brain.
Mansfield, who also used to live in Yarmouth, has organized two performances of the Las Vegas act Dueling Pianos for here in Yarmouth. The first show goes Friday, Sept. 5 at Wesleyan Church. That evening will also include a performance by Kidzact and a silent auction. The event begins at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, Sept. 6 a performance will be held at Boston Pizza at 9 p.m. The restaurant will also be donating 10 per cent of all meal sales to the family from that night.
Tickets are $30 per person or $50/two people.
Advance tickets are being sold for the shows and can be purchased at Boston Pizza, Runners Attic or by contacting Mansfield at 902-748-0777 or by email at email@example.com. It is hoped that people will purchase advance tickets by Friday, Aug. 22.
