The Canada Day parade in Weymouth last year was a damp affair, but the forecast for this year is mainly sunny.

Weymouth celebrates Canada Day

July 1

Breakfast at the Legion, 7:30 a.m.; street parade, 10 a.m. Opening ceremonies at noon at Noon,, bouncy castle, petting zoo, vendors, Sissiboo Landing. Chicken BBQ, ox pull, truck pulls, baseball at Cricket Field. Giant fireworks display at dusk.

From 1 to 2 p.m., Waste Check hosting a two-day ‘Eureka’ program. Participants will discover a world without any waste reduction or diversion and will be challenged to create their own invention through activities and games. For ages eight and up.

LEGO Mindstorms Robots

July 10

From 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., youngsters ages eight and up can build their robots using LEGO Mindstorms robot. An intelligent brick computer controls the system, a set of modular sensors and motors, and LEGO parts from the Technics line to create the mechanical systems. Register by July 9.
