Wolfville’s Cittaslow advocates are holding another public information meeting at the Wolfville Farmers Market on June 19 at 7 p.m.

Wolfville is considering applying for Cittaslow status. A committee of interested citizens would like to share the potential benefits of Wolfville becoming a Cittaslow town with area residents, says chef Michael Howell, as well as hear the views on its impact and potential.

Howell says all members of the public are encouraged to attend and make their views heard.

Slow Food is already part of Nova Scotia and the Wolfville experience, he says.

Cittaslow is an international organization where towns adopt sustainable principles and engrain them in municipal planning strategies and business development.
