Brooklyn District Elementary School students know how to work a crowd.

That quickly became clear during the school’s final performance of The Little Mermaid Junior.

The play, directed by Susan Spence-Campbell, ran from April 29 to May 1.

The props and set designs took audiences under the sea to follow the life of Ariel (Marina Crowell), a mermaid yearning to experience the human world. The capable cast enchanted audiences with familiar tunes that told a tale with a good mix of comic relief and suspense.

The local production, based on the Hans Christian Anderson story and the popular Disney film, featured music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater.

The play was amazing and the talant by ALL of the kids was extreme. I understand your commentary under the "mer sister" picture was directed from the play point of view but maybe you should think of that from a childs point of view that had worked on that play for months. I think you could have chosen better wording in my opinion.
