The Kings Volunteer Resource Centre is hosting an International Café event. The café is a free event to connect newcomers, immigrants and international students with the community.

Resource centre project manager Lisa Kamperman said the International Café would help newcomers, immigrants and locals “connect in a friendly and neutral environment that we hope to continue to host on a monthly basis.”

The café is being held at the County of Kings municipal complex in Kentville on May 2 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Orchards and Tides Room. The resource centre is hosting the event in partnership with the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce.
