The Apple Tree Foundation will host a five-kilometre run/walk on April 27 in support of Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre.

“If you want to run just for fun or for recreation, this is another opportunity,” said run organizer and Apple Tree Foundation Board member Bernie Tracey.

This first-time event is open to all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced, with the event getting underway at 10 a.m. The run begins and finishes at the Rehab Centre in Waterville. The route will follow County Home Road past the SPCA, turning right onto Mill Street, right again at Black Rock Road to the overpass, and loop back to the Centre.

Registration fees are $15 for ages 15 and under and $30 for 16 and over.  To register, contact the foundation office at 538-3103 ext 802 or email jkelly@krrc.ns.ca. Registration will be accepted until 9:30 a.m. on race day.
