Wolfville hosted a skating party Dec. 31, 2012, at the Acadia arena.

 Wolfville hosts the Resolution Run at 1:30 p.m. at the farmers’ market building, rain, snow or shine.

Also in Wolfville is an exhibition men’s varsity hockey game between Acadia and Guelph, 1 p.m. at the Acadia Arena. Ticket info here. After the game, skate with the Axemen. Helments required.

A free public skate is being put on by Wolfville and Acadia from 6 to 9 p.m. at the arena. Helmets are required and the Wolfville Cubs will be providing hot chocolate.

Berwick is hosting “Fire and Ice”  from 6 to 9 p.m. at Ranforth Park and, hopefully, a skating party at the new outdoor rink..  For small attendees, there will be a countdown at 8 p.m. – coinciding with Berwick, England’s, midnight.  

Kingston’s celebration is from 7 to 10 p.m. at the arena, Kingston Credit Union Centre, at 1490 Westwood St. Hot chocolate, hot apple cider, wagon rides, hot chili, popcorn and free family skating will be offered. Alson on the agenda are fireworks at 9:30 p.m. from the Superstore  parking lot.
