Coast Guard Westport reports four calls last week for assistance.
Dec. 2, the cutter left Westport at 11 a.m. to aid the fishing vessel ‘Hit & Miss’, disabled off Lurcher Shoal by engine failure. The vessel was towed into Yarmouth.
Dec. 3, the cutter was tasked to assist the fishing vessel ‘Double D’ at 8:13 a.m., but was stood down at 8:42. Later that day, at 6:36 p.m., it went to aid the disabled ‘Misty Dawn 3’, but was stood down at 8:35 p.m., when the vessel was aided by a second fishing boat.
Dec. 6 brought a replay tow. The cutter left Westport at 7:15 a.m. to aid the fishing vessel ‘Francis James Robinson, also disabled off Lurcher Shoal by engine failure. The vessel was towed into Yarmouth, and the cutter was back on station at 5:40 p.m.
