The museum is ready to get spooky again for the fourth annual Night at the Haunted Museum. Photo enhanced to look scarier.
Visitors are invited to take a journey through the museum in pitch dark with only the light of a candle to guide you.
This is the fourth year for the Haunted Museum and it is the museum’s biggest fund raising event of the year. Volunteers and museum staff spend weeks preparing the museum for the many guests that go through that night. This year over 20 volunteers are set to make the night extra scary.
Linda Rafuse, manager of the Queens County Museum and Perkins House, says the set up changes every year so that visitors never see the same thing twice.
“Nobody knows where their next scare will come from, that’s the fun part of it,” says Rafuse.
The museum kicks off their Halloween programming to classes from local schools the following Monday.
The event is on Oct. 26. Admission into the Haunted Museum is $10. Visitors can come anytime between 7 p.m. and 9:30. The event is not meant for those who are faint of heart or under the age of 13. Phone 902-354-4058 for more information.
