Debbie and Leslie Brydon of New Market, Ontario, with their daughter Tammy Hudson and granddaughter, Mackenzie, of Bondhead, Ontario were guests of Debbie’s mother, Olive Keddy, at Grand View Manor.
Olive also had a visit from her grandson, Matthew Hudson, of Bondhead, Ontario. He was with his team in Yarmouth, playing ground hockey. Son John and Donna Keddy of Mississauga, Ontario were also recent visitors.
St. Eudora Rebekah lodge held its regular meeting Oct. 2, called to order by Vice-Grand Gladys Cook. Janet Mattatall, Rebekah Assembly President for the Atlantic Provinces, was making her official visit. Attending were members from St. Eulalie #27, Kentville; Myrtle #46, Middleton; Pinehurst #95, Liverpool; and Jordan Falls #127. After the meeting, they enjoyed a lovely lunch.
The Rebekahs are planning a supper for Nov. 2. The seventh annual craft fair and flea market at the Town Hall Gym takes place Nov. 23. Book a table or just come out to browse. The next meeting the DDP District #3, will be visiting.
There were six tables of 45s in play at the Rebekah Hall on Oct. 5. Prizewinners were ladies’ 1st, Leona Mapplebeck; ladies’ 2nd, Janet DeMille; gents’ 1st, Pauline Oickle; gents’ 2nd and 30/60, Larry Caldwell.
On Oct. 22, the card parties start up at the South Berwick Community Centre on Tuesday evenings.
Coming up on Oct. 25, the Berwick Legion is having a roast beef supper with the reception starting at 5:30 p.m. and supper at 6 p.m. The guest speaker is Peter Stoffer, MP. Tickets are $15 in advance with cut-off date of Oct. 17. Call Paul, 538-3361 or any Legion member.
