Glooscap Elementary School staff and students will be walking the block (approximately three kilometres) Sept. 27 at 12:45 p.m. in support of the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope. Please show your support and join them for this worthy cause.
Principal Corena Burbidge is excited to announce that the new playground structure has been ordered, with installation beginning this October. Fundraising will continue to see this project through to completion. Donations are welcome and appreciated. Thanks to all for their continued support.
A join the band music weekend for teens will be held in collaboration with the Deep Roots Music festival Sept. 27-29 for ages 13-17. Teens can spend the weekend participating in art activities and music workshops led by Ross Creek staff and Deep Roots musicians.
An archaeology weekend will be held Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. at Ross Creek. Students will learn basic archaeological skills, including excavating, artefact identification and site interpretation. Getting dirty was never this much fun!
A 10-week portfolio development program, focusing on admission requirements for art school while developing a range of works in different media, will begin Oct. 20. There are only 20 spots available.
