On Aug. 31, a barbecue was held at the Berwick Foodland in support of the ALS Walk 2013 taking place Sept. 8 in Coldbrook. Tony, Mike, Delcia, Christopher, Telicia, Kaydem, Elizah, Korinne and Brad Filippone and Wade Miller are all walking in honour of the late Joyce Filippone (Tony’s wife), who lived with ALS for 12 years and succumbed to that disease in March of this year. The Filippones would like to thank all those who attended the barbecue or sponsored them with the pledge sheet. A big thank you to the Berwick Foodland who supplied the place, barbecue and all the ingredients for the barbecue, so all the money raised ($210) could go to the ALS 2013. The Foodland is also sponsoring the group in the walk.
