The Port Williams Women’s Institute continues to celebrate their 100th anniversary. On Aug. 3, they held a well-attended tea at Prescott House. On Sept. 4, the first of four “Walk the Blocks” was held. Over 20 village residents of all ages and WI members met in the Baptist church parking lot at 6:30 p.m. and walked around the block. The Port Williams Playgroup runs during the school year (from September to June) from 10:30 a.m. to noon, every Tuesday morning at the Baptist Church. The group is open to infants up to preschoolers and their caregivers. There is no charge to attend. The morning is set up with unstructured playtime and snacks for the children and adults.
