July 8

There will be a bingo with prizes at Club Acadien, Sainte-Anne-du-Ruisseau July 8 at 7 p.m.

Cribbage tournament

July 9 A cribbage tournament in memory of George Clements will be held at Club Acadien, Sainte-Anne-du-Ruisseau on July 9.- $5 per person – 7 p.m.

Cemetery walking tour

July 7,8,9

There will be a walking tour at Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery July 7, 8 and 9 at 6:30 p.m. Admission by ticket (free) which can be obtained at the Yarmouth County Museum on Collins Street.

Garden tour

July 9

The third annual Tusket area garden tour, sponsored by the Argyle Township Court House Archives, will take place on Wednesday, July 9, (rain date July 10) from 3 to 8 p.m. There will be eight properties with gardens or other points of interest to see. Tickets are $12. and can be purchased at Carl’s Store, The Cell Gift Shop in the Tusket courthouse, Atlantic Florists, and Oasis Water Gardens. There will be refreshments and door prizes.

Music camp

July 10

The Argyle recreation department will be hosting their first music camp and they are inviting everyone to come watch the concert July 10 at Par-en-Bas school. Concert begins at 7 p.m.

Deal or no deal

July 10

Deal or no deal game will be held at Club Acadien on July 10. $5 per person for a chance to be a contestant. 7 p.m. - An evening of fun with money to be won.

Concerts

July 11

Music With Friends will be presented Friday, July 11, at the Yarmouth County Museum, 22 Collins St. Two concerts at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. with pianists Gretchen Dane Burdick, Rioko Miné-Goldring, Michael Morris and Belle Hatfield, as well as recorder ensemble, The Accidental Consort. program features works of Debussy, Brahms, Liszt and Mendelssohn. Funds from the benefit concerts will go towards the purchase of a new flagpole for the Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School in commemoration of the Rock Around the Clock Reunion. Admission by donation.

Opening ceremony

The opening ceremony for for Festival acadien international de Par-en-Bas will be held at 11 a.m. at the municipal office in Tusket on July 11.

Open mic

The Yarmouth Area Cancer Support Group will meet Wednesday, July 16 at 7p.m. at the Sobey’s community room, Starrs Road. Speaker will be Amy Wall, recreation therapist, speaking about the use of animals in the therapy with cancer patients. All those with cancer and their caregivers/loved ones are invited to attend.
