In and Out of Africa

Pancake Supper
February 28 A Pancake Supper will be held at Kingston United Church 773 Main Street, Kingston, on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Homemade pancakes, real maple syrup, hash-brown potatoes, sausage, tea, coffee, juice, homemade pies. Free will donation. Takeouts available.
Women’s Lunches
February 29 The Women’s Place is hosting community lunches the last Friday of each month. The next community lunch will be Friday, Feb. 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guest speakers will be Marie Howe and Della Longmire, who have some interesting points surrounding pensions. All are welcome to attend. Free transportation can be arranged.

Valley Autism Support Team Meeting
March 4 The February VAST meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 4 starting at 7 p.m. in the Autism Centre, Kingston and District Elementary School, 630 Pine Ridge Ave, Kingston. Citrus and Plant Sale
March 6 The Annapolis Royal Schools Bands are selling citrus fruit and potted flowers to raise funds. Oranges and grapefruit ($38 full case, $20 half case, $10 quarter case). Community Choir Rehearsals

March break
March 11 Kid’s fun day, for children in grades 1-6, takes place from 9:00-4:30 pm. We depart from the Middleton Fire Hall and head to Annapolis Royal where the morning will be spent rock climbing in the Bouldering Room at AWEC and other fun games, then it’s off to Cornwallis for an afternoon of swimming at Lifeplex.
