Garden club meets

July 12 The Champlain Garden Club will meet on Thursday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the United Church in Annapolis Royal (rear entrance). Presentation on Daylilies and Hostas by Wayne Ward and Wayne Storrie of Canning Daylily Gardens. New members always welcome.Info 532-0901.

July 12 The Annapolis Royal Pharmasave will hold a blood pressure clinic July 12 from 2 to 4 p.m.

DJ dance

July 14 Fund raiser for the Lawrencetown Pool at the Lawrencetown Fire Hall. Over 19 DJ Dance starts at 9 p.m.

Lobster Supper

Mad Hatter's Tea Party

July 15 Celebrate 25 years of Annapolis Region Community Arts Council 2-4 p.m. July 15 at Hillsdale House in Annapolis Royal. Tickets at Hillsdale, ArtsPlace, at the door $10.

Bible school

July 19 The Hillsburgh United Church is having a strawberry supper at the United Church in Bear River from 5-6 p.m. Enjoy ham, baked beans, potato salad and shortcake.

July 19 The Annapolis Royal Pharmasave will hold a blood glucose and blood pressure clinic July 19 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Children’s parade

July 21 The Heart of the Valley Days IODE Children’s Parade July 21 will take place at 10 a.m. Registration behind Macdonald Museum at 9:30 a.m. Lots of prizes and fun for everyone.

Hymn Sing

July 22 Hymn Sing at the Inglisville Church starting at 7 p.m. Music supplied by Vera Errington, Ivy Cross and Cliff.

Dramatic reading

July 28 Hal Theriault will hold a Dramatic Reading of his new play The Bear River Story, Saturday, July 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Oakdene Centre, Bear River. The play tells "the story of those who came, liked it and settled in, a trend which has continued for over 200 years." Full production will take place in August. Blood pressure clinic

July 26 The Annapolis Royal Pharmasave will hold a blood pressure and machine check clinic July 26 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Art show and sale

July 28 An Art Show and Sale will be held at the Tupperville Community Hall Saturday, July 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission free. Refreshments to be provided for $2 each by the Tupperville Women's Institute who are sponsoring this show which features original work by some 15 artists, photographers and crafts persons.

Chinese Auction

July 29 Chinese Auction at the Multi Addiction Center in North Kingston. Doors open at 11 a.m. with draw at 1 p.m. sharp. 50/50 and canteen available. Proceeds for the center.

Bible School

Remembering Natal Days

July 31 Join archivist Ern Dick for an informal Oral History Evening to recall Annapolis Royal Natal Days over the past 60 years. If you have memories of long past or recent Natal Day celebrations, we'd love to hear your stories and see your memorabilia. The remembering and the talking begin at 7 p.m. in the Legion, 66 Victoria St., between the post office and the Bread & Roses Inn.
