Adult Nordic Walking Program

May 22-June 26 Morning session from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., evening session 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Middleton Town Hall. †Fee: $15 (poles will be provided). To register or more information, phone 825-6611.

June Clinics

June 7-28 The following clinics are available at Pharmasave, Annapolis Royal: June 7 - Blood Glucose; June 14 – Cholesterol; June 21 – Blood Pressure; June 28 - Blood Glucose& Blood Pressure. All clinics are from 2-4 p.m.

Buffet Supper

June 7. All Saints‚ ACW will be holding a Spring Casserole Buffet Supper at the Church Hall, Pleasant Street, Kingston from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. A selection of salads, casseroles and desserts will be available. Adults - $ 8, children $ 4. Family rates are available There will be take out!

100th Anniversary

June 7 Open House for the Myrtle Rebekah Lodge #46 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Masonic Hall, 10 Kings St. S., next to the Curling Rink. Dignitaries, special program, jewel presentation, displays and reception. Everyone welcome.

Bright Beginnings AGM

June 7 The AGM of Bright Beginnings Early Intervention Program will be held June 7 at 7 pm in the Lawrencetown Education Centre (former Lawrencetown High School building).

Stoney Beach Meeting

June 7 A meeting of the Stoney Beach Cemetery Company will be held at 7:30 p.m. June 7 in the Lower Granville Hall, Port Royal. All lot owners and interested persons are encouraged to attend.

ATV Club Relay for Life

June 8 All members and friends are invited to attend the Relay. First group is leaving from TRA in Middleton at 6 p.m.; The second group meets at Sampson’s in Kingston to rendezvous for 6:45 p.m. For more information contact Bob Byrne at 765-4325.

Relay for Life

June 8 Cancer Survivors are invited to walk the first lap of “The Relay for Life” at 7:00 p.m. at the Rotary Park, Middleton. For more info, phone Debra Ryan at 532-7712.

The Cave Cat

June 8/9 Middleton Regional High School presents Ford Ainsworth’s ‘The Cave Cat’ at 8 p.m. in the MRHS gymnasium. Tickets $5, advance tickets available at the MRHS office.

Lobster Supper

June 9 Enjoy a lobster supper at the Margarettesville Community hall from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Must reserve tickets by June 6 by contacting Betty at 825-2251, or Sherri at 825-2251.

Cancer workshop

June 9 The monthly “Look Good Feel Better” workshop which helps women deal with the appearance related side-effects of cancer and it's treatment will be held on June 9 from 10-12 noon in Ambulatory Care, room 2318, at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Hymn Sing

June 10 Wilmot United Baptist Church will host a Hymn Sing at the Christian Fellowship Center, Wilmot on June 10. Starts at 7 p.m. and will feature the MacLeans. Free will offering, proceeds for Church projects.

Ice cream parlour

June 10 The Ice Cream Parlour at the Margaretsville Community Hall will open from 2-4 p.m. June 10 (Open every Sunday until Fall).

Valley Gardeners Club

June 11 Monthly meeting of the Valley Gardeners' Club will be held June 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Kentville Research Centre. Program is "Colour Our Environment," presented by Kari Hjelkrem. Also a transplant and perennial exchange will take place. For info, call 542-9240. Visitors always welcome.

Valley Hospice AGM

June 11 Valley Hospice’s annual general meeting begins at 6:30 in the Baptist Church Hall, 503 Main Street, Kentville. Discussion will be hosted by Hospice Foundation Chairperson, Diana Patterson, and will include Trinda Ernst, Chairperson of the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation, Shelagh Campbell-Palmer, District Palliative Care Manager (AVH), and Brenda Wallace-Allen of the Valley Hospice Foundation. Kingston Luncheon

June 12 The Kingston Lion’s will hold a luncheon June 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lions Hall. Enjoy a roast turkey dinner with dessert. Cost is $8, add $0.50 for delivery. Proceeds for Lions charitable work

Women’s Connection

June 12 Mid-Valley Women's Connection presents inspirational speaker June 12, plus musician, Brenda Joudrey of Lower Sackville, as well as 'Delightfully Dashing Debutantes' with Queen, Daisy Dwyer, telling about the beginnings of the 'Red Hatter' phenomenon followed by a fashion parade of red hats. “Life is Like a Song" starts at 7 p.m., Annapolis Mess, CFB Greenwood. 6$ inclusive. Our Summer Sky

June 13 Annapolis Field Naturalists Society meets Une 13. Using his trusty computer with its desktop planetarium, Sherman Williams will introduce the night sky in a way that novices can understand. Always a great source of astronomical information, he will show what to search for this summer here in NS. Program starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Library of A.W.E.C., Champlain Drive, Annapolis Royal.

Card Party

June 14 Enjoy time with friends & meet new ones while playing 45’s at the IOOF / Rebekah Lodge Hall, Main St., Lawrencetown. Starts at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $2 (lunch included).

Ticket Auction

June 16 Annual ticket auction at Middleton Legion June 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Draws start at 12 p.m. sharp. Proceeds for Middleton and District Day Care. Barbecued hot dogs and pop available.

Spring Fling

June 16 Annual Spring Fling June 16 at Clark Rutherford School from 11 am to 1 pm. Rain or shine. Games, bounce tents, BBQ, bake and plant sales, and auction.

Charity auction

Lifeplex golf tournament

June 22 Lifeplex Wellness Centre will hold its first annual golf tournament, “Swing for Wellness,” Friday, June 22 at the Annapolis Royal Golf and Country Club. Lobster Dinner

Indoor Yard Sale

July 1 The Annapolis Royal Legion is planning a Giant Indoor Yard Sale for July 1st, 10 am to 4 pm and everyone is invited to donate what you no longer need to this worthy cause. Accepting all good used items, in working order and good shape (no clothing or bedding, please!) at the Annapolis Royal Community Centre until June 29th.
