There will be a membership drive for the South Ohio Community Centre on April 28 conducted at the centre beginning at 1 p.m. and ending at 5 p.m.

SUPPER

There will be a spaghetti supper and dessert at Temple Baptist Church, April 28 from 4-6 p.m. Freewill offering at the door. The proceeds will go towards the new church capital campaign fund.

CAMP WAPOMEO REGISTRATION

April 30

Camp Wapomeo registration is taking place at the YMCA, by mail, fax, or online at www.ymcayarmouth.ns.ca/camp. Register before April 30 and receive the early bird discount. One week sessions for youth ages 7-14 and leadership training for teens. Call the YMCA at 742-7181 for more information.

TURKEY SUPPER

A turkey supper will be held at the Carleton Legion, Branch 167 on Saturday, April 28, starting at 4:30. There will also be a bake table. Sponsored by the ladies auxiliary.

COFFEE PARTY

The Order of the Eastern Star will be hosting a spring coffee party at the Masonic Hall in Hebron April 28 from 10a.m. until 1 p.m. $3.

CANOE FUN RUN

April 28

A canoe “fun run” will take place April 28 starting at Pocket Wilderness Park in Corberie and ending at the Forest Glen Community Center. Supper starts at 3p.m. Pack a lunch – no canteen on the river. Canoe ticket draw at 5p.m. For info call 761-2648.

COFFEE PARTY

There will be a spring coffee party hosted by the Arcadia Women’s Institute at the Arcadia Community Hall on Saturday, April 28 at 10 a.m. Bake table. Proceeds for upkeep of the hall.

There will be a car wash fundraiser at the Main Street Ultramar for the Yarmouth Junior High School 9F/LF Quebec French immersion trip. From 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., on Saturday, April 28.

The YMCA of Yarmouth is holding its 3rd annual Travel and Leisure Auction Saturday, April 28, in the dining hall at the NSCC Burridge Campus. Tickets are $10 per person / $15 couple, includes hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets available at the YMCA or at the door. For more information contact the YMCA at 742-7181.

Big Brothers Big Sisters TV auction will be held on Sunday May 27 on Eastlink, Channel 5. This is a new time for the auction as it was previously held in April.
