John Richard Garnett – 1940-2006, Pittsfield Maine 66, Died Dec 29,2006 following a brief illness. He was born Sept. 29, 1940 in Middleborough, MA., a son of Norman, "Jack" and Daisy (Lee) Garnett. He lived much of his life in Nova Scotia, from a child until 1985, whe he returned to the U.S. John enjoyed the trucking industry for 40 years and owned and operated John Garnett Trucking Inc. He is survived by his wife, Linda of Pittsfield, ME., he was predeceased by his oldest daughter Gale, survived by a daughter Cindy Garnett and children Jade and John Lee, and a great-grandson Jamal of N.S., a daughter, Becky of Maine and a son Lewis Jackson of California. Two brothers; Leslie "Sonny" and wife Doris Garnett of N.S.; Charles and wife Joan Garnett of MA.; four sisters; Thelma Mackey of Alaska, Ramona Pearle and partner Lorie "Junior" Bezanson of N.S.; Ilene "Honey" Costa of Barbados, and Janette and husband Nick Dyksterhuis of N.S. Funeral services were held in Newport, Maine in Jan 07. Grave side service was held at North Kingston Cemetery on Saturday, June 2nd. 2007 at 3:00pm.
