Former Acadia University president Gail Dinter-Gottlieb has been appointed as the executive director of the American Society for the University of Haifa (ASUH).

The society’s recent press release indicates that while at Acadia, “she successfully completed a $55M capital campaign – the largest in Acadia's 139-year history – and took that institution to a ranking of #1 of undergraduate programs in Canada. She holds the distinction as the first woman and the first Jewish president in the history of that university.”

While in Nova Scotia, Gottlieb was also recognized as a ‘Top 50 Atlantic CEO’ by Atlantic Business Magazine.

Her job is based in New York. The University of Haifa in Israel has a diverse student population of 23,500.
