Manager offered job back

A decision to close the Shelburne Dairy Treat has been reversed. Staff will be rehired this summer.

People in Shelburne all screamed for ice cream and owners of the Dairy Treat responded.

This week, Farmer’s Dairy and Agropur announced that they would reverse their decision to close the Dairy Treat.

They called Brenda Lamrock Acker, the former manager, offering her job back.

“They said they will be opening as usual this spring,” said Lamrock Acker.  “I am glad to have my job back.”

She will hire her old crew as well as a summer student.

She said she is looking forward to seeing all the usual customers and children again.

“That decision has made a lot of people happy.”
