Queens County SeaFest is closing down the festival after the Saturday festivities are concluded.

The following is the SeaFest Committee’s latest release. The former release is copied below and is still current.

The Pre Hurricane Bill Party is happening at Queens County SeaFest.

The docks are filling up with Derby Boats. With Hurricane Bill approaching we want everyone to know that we will be closing down SeaFest on Saturday night after the Entertainment Tent closes. We are moving the Sunday Guitar Hero Competition to 1-4 p.m. Saturday. It will be going on at the same time as the youth zone.

The Planked Salmon Supper is being postponed to a later date.

Previous release

Derby Changes: Captains Meeting Friday at 6 p.m.

Commercial Boats will be allowed to leave the Marina Friday at 8 p.m. and return by Saturday at 5 p.m.

Recreational Boats will be leaving Saturday 5 a.m. and will be returning at 5 p.m.

Fishermen will not be required to be here to receive their prizes. SeaFest will make arrangements to get them to the winners.

Any other changes can be discussed at the Captains Meeting.

The rest of the Festival is still on so come on down and join in the Fun!!!
