The Superstore in New Minas has decided not to renew its contract as the postal outlet in the village. Atlantic Superstore will cease providing the service April 3.

Canada Post spokesperson Genevieve LaTour said last week that discussions are now underway to locate a New Minas outlet elsewhere.

She said there is no word yet whether the new outlet will be in place by early April. “There may be a gap, but we’ll have it working as soon as possible.”
