Lions outshoot Keith’s 80 to 20

The Valley Keith’s were shellacked 14-2 last night by Clare Lions in an 8 p.m. game in the Université Sainte-Anne arena at Church Point.

The Lions outshot the Keith’s 80 to 20, and got a five-goal performance by Marc MacIntosh, along with two-goal efforts from Ryan Gallant, Mario Blinn, Serge McCauley and Marc Lombard. Stephane LeBlanc added a single.

Eric Banks and Macadam Baird netted the Keith’s goals.

Steve Morse took the loss in nets for the Keith’s, stopping 19 of 26 shots before being relieved by Chris Hersey who made 47 of 54 saves.

Colin LeBlanc got the win in nets for the Lions, stopping 18 shots.

It was the first of a home-and-home series. The Keith’s and Lions are at the Digby Area Arena at 2 p.m. today
