Neil Huff takes the position. He is a graduate of Queens University with a B.Sc., Chemical Engineering and obtained an MBA from the University of Toronto in 1992.
His 25 years of experience in the high tech and manufacturing industries includes positions with BlueStar (Ballard) Battery Systems, Layfield Plastics, Autosystems Manufacturing, and Manchester Plastics, as well as with Venture Capital groups, including Western Technology Seed Investment Fund.
Founded in 1999, Lightyear develops two-dimensional materials, or materials so thin they appear to have no depth. The commercial applications for these materials include catalysts for upgrading oil, advanced batteries for hybrid electric vehicles, new hydrogen storage materials, and novel ways to use designer molecules for water purification.
