The Mississauga and Ottawa offices of Barrigar & Moss and senior IP litigation counsel Doug Wilson have joined with Ridout & Maybee of Toronto and Ottawa, bringing over 30 professionals together to advise an enlarged client base in Canada, the US and abroad.

"The different strengths of our firms will mean increased efficiencies in many areas for our clients, particularly here in Mississauga where we've been a leading IP firm for over two decades," said Ridout & Maybee partner Dennis Moss. "The expanded firm is very strong with patent professionals having a variety of technical and engineering backgrounds and also now our enhanced litigation department."

The firm says clients in sectors such as biotechnology and e-commerce are showing increased concern about protecting their rights through litigation. It adds Ridout & Maybee's expanded litigation capabilities will provide added strength to clients' IP portfolios.
