Christopher Lever has been appointed chief financial officer of Interactive Circuits and Systems Ltd. His mandate will be to build the company's corporate infrastructure and broaden its management team. As well, he will take on operating responsibility for ICS America, Inc., the company's U.S. subsidiary. Lever joins ICS from the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, where he was director of knowledge-based business.
The Baxter Group is pleased to announce Shannon Magistad has joined the company. She has five years experience in the IT industry and will focus on working with clients in the areas of information technology, e-commerce initiatives and inter-networking.
McMillan + Associates has announced four recent hirings. Nisha Subramaniam has joined as a Web poet, blending programming and interface/application design. Kevin Holmes is an Internet technologist and Web developer. He is in charge of Web programming, database design and programming and researching new Web technologies. The senior FLASH developer is Dan Lussier. He works on FLASH-based Internet sites, presentations and demonstrations, HTML development and coding, and graphic design. Finally, Hugh Lapointe has joined as a Web developer. Lapointe works to make Web sites functional using HTML and JavsScript coding and tends to server-side scripting.
Brymark Promotions is pleased to announce four new additions to its team. Marie Mould and Sheri Moffatt have joined as account representatives. Mould comes from Koch Engineering, and Moffatt from Allegra Print and Imaging. Both will work to develop and maintain relationships with clients. Michael Vocal has been appointed the new general manager of the Novotel Hotel in Ottawa following the transfer of Kay Koot to New York. Vocal has been with Accor Hotels, Novotel's owner, for eight years, and will take over the Ottawa location on June 27.
Anders Bulow is resigning as president of Toronto's Boliden Ltd. The resignation is effective Sept. 30, when Bulow's three-year commitment to run the company is finished.
JTI-Macdonald Corp. is pleased to announce the appointment of Bruno Duguay as vice-president, general counsel and secretary. Duguay has been legal counsel for the company since 1998, and will work out of the Toronto head office and the Montreal plant.
